SMHS Theater students are trained in acting technique in order to become confident, empowered actors and artists in the world of theater.
Fall Advanced Acting students perform in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised], which shows November 1, 2, 7, 8, & 9 at 7pm and November 3 & 9 at 2pm.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] is the wild attempt to perform all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in a mere 90 minutes. Come experience London’s historic Globe Theater reproduced right here at San Marcos High School. Be a groundling or a Royal VIP in the balcony, and see the Bard as you’ve never imagined him before.

Fall Play Production students also perform in our collection of short plays, or One-Acts, which show January 9, 10, 11 at 7pm.
Guest directors Rick Mokler, Paul Canter, Brain McDonald, Aurora Gooch, Penny O’Mahoney, Ann Dusenberry and Felicia Hall are preparing students for two nights of show. Audiences will sit in stadium seating in a intimate arrangement on the mainstage.
Last year’s spring Play Production students performed in Catch Me If You Can. This years students will perform in another full-scale broadway musical in May. This year’s musical is to be announced in October, so stay tuned for more information!
