Theater Director, Riley Berris

Growing up in Santa Barbara, Riley Berris attended Santa Barbara’s Montecito Union, Santa Barbara Junior High School and Santa Barbara High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in theater at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and was trained at the Moscow Arts Theater in Russia. Following college, she pursued her passion for theater as a founder, producer, director, and actor at the Inside Out Theater Company in L.A. She continued acting in film and television and taught classes at the Young Actor's Studio in North Hollywood. In 2013-2014, Riley returned to Santa Barbara to earn a Master's Degree in Education and obtain her Secondary Single Subject Teaching credential at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Hired in June of 2014 as the theater director and theater teacher at San Marcos High School, Riley was welcomed with open arms by the staff, colleagues, and the students. She couldn't be more grateful each day to share her passion for theater and the art of acting, stagecraft, and directing with the incredible students at San Marcos High School.
